Rebrand
Designit is an international design agency working at the intersection of strategy, design, marketing, and technology.
Year:
2021
After 30 years of designing how people live, work, and play, we took the opportunity to examine the meaning and methods behind the work. The complexity of organizations and our lives is very different than it was back then. There are new challenges and new frontiers to explore.
Since it's founding, Designit has evolved into a global design company with a wide range of creative service offerings. The time had come to update the visual identity toolbox in order to better communicate and match the ambitions of the company.
Alphabeta — a new typeface designed in collaboration with Letters from Sweden. A fundamental, geometric sans serif, embracing the most basic of shapes. It’s a typeface where tech meets human and system meets curiosity and creativity. Alphabeta pays homage to legacy and roots — it builds on the danish type legacy, with open g’s, high x-height and wide letters. Full of fundamental, geometric surprises and details at a second glance.
A new illustration style rooted in the heritage of graphic design —De Stijl, Bauhaus and early graphic posters, anchored in basic shapes, primary colors and geometric surprises.
A complete redesign and restructure of designit.com, where the new typography, together with a playful grid-layout, sets the foundation for a more structured approach to how messaging and content is being presented. The new website allows for the work to shine, by downplaying Designit's own branding to let the work of clients stand out. The design balances a clean yet ownable style with attention and care to details.
As part of the rebranding, a new direction for photography was incoorporated. Pursuing a more unpolished, authentic and energetic attitude in the shots and style. Aiming for clients to feel closer to Designit and be able to connect more deeply with the culture and work. Heroing the local office cultures and opening up the expression in order to inspire in new and exciting ways. Essentially, the photography style is about capturing the beautiful reality of design-in-progress across all corners of Designit—starting with the studios, culture and people.
